HEREFORD Concert Society adds four heavenly harpists to its list of invited players next week.
The Barkham Harp Quartet is made up of four award-winning harpists who all studied with Daphne Boden at the Royal College of Music.
Their performances are as accessible as they are innovative and dynamic, and they have recently performed at St James' Palace, London.
Eleanor Turner, Harriet Adie, Keziah Thomas and Helen Radice all enjoy audience interaction and concert programmes usually include one solo item from each member to showcase everyone individually.
The quartet strongly supports new music and is continually developing its repertoire.
To date they have commissioned and premiered three dramatically contrasting works: Edward Watson's A Celtic Springtime, The Island by their own Eleanor Turner and Edward Longstaff's Saraswati.
Committed to raising awareness of the harp in the community, the four will lead a workshop the day before their concert on Thursday, April 21, at The Bishop of Hereford's Bluecoat School.
Tickets for the concert can be booked on 0870 1122330.
