ONE cast member at the next All and Sundry musical performance is guaranteed to know his role.
The Bromsgrove theatre group, which is set to perform The Pied Piper at the Artrix in June, has now enlisted the help of Bromsgrove's very own town crier to carry out the same role in Hamelin.
Official town crier, Kevin Ward, from Sidemoor, said: "They approached me to play the role and I was delighted. I have done similar things in the past but it will be a pleasure to be at the new Artrix.
"It won't take me long to get into character either."
The All and Sundry Theatre Group will perform The Pied Piper at the School Drive venue from Wednesday, June 1, for five days, the same performance the Duke of Gloucester was treated to when he officially opened the new centre on April 7.
The story will be set in medieval Hamelin and will broadly follow the famous story about a plague of rats and a magical piper.
However, the family show will have a few startling twists and include drama, humour and plenty of singing and dancing.
Performances start at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £6.50, £5 concessions and £20 for an adult ticket for two adults and two children.
For tickets, call Bromsgrove Tourist Information Office on 01527 831809.
