GARDEN CLUB: The AGM was held on April 12. The meeting began with a minute's silence in memory of Mai Dorrington, who had died on April 8. The chairman, Douglas Drinkwater, paid tribute to Mai and her enthusiastic contribution to the gardening club over many years - in particular, the way she encouraged her grandchildren's participation. Mai will be greatly missed.
The AGM was followed by a presentation by Tony Jones, on the work of the Cotswold Wardens. The monthly competition for a tulip was won by Annette Johnson. The next meeting held on May 10 will be a visit to Fibrex Nurseries.
