Spring is here Tra-la Tra-la
The plastic it's spread-ing
We will dig up the hedges
And fill in the pools
Cut the trees down
Forget all the rules
'Make way for Plastic the King'
For who wants green fields
And lizards and frogs
And chattering birds
Honeysuckle and bogs
So Hey-nonny-nonny
That's all in the past
Now it's acres of plastic
Forget about grass.
The fruit will be sprayed
And may well taste of plastic
But don't be dismayed
It will look so fantastic
So let plastic spread
To the edge of the sea
But please may I ask
Don't put it by my.
