THE new exhibition Close to Home at Parkfields Gallery, Ross-on-Wye features the work of Antony Kerr and his wife Elizabeth Rendell.
They have lived in Herefordshire for 35 years and describe the landscape around them as a "painter's paradise", providing a constant source of inspiration and delight.
Working in watercolours, Antony loves to paint panoramic vistas, particularly "the grand prospect" from an elevated pitch, endeavouring to capture the mood and spirit of the place, and portraying the landscape in great detail.
In contrast Elizabeth paints in oils, but also in careful detail, with her garden, and the shrubs and flowers in it, a favourite subject.
Complementing their work are the garden sculptures of Lily Sawtell, ceramics by Annie Hewett, and silver jewellery by young designer Ben Woodcock.
