IN a bid to extend the boundaries of his family's future, engineer David Kellett is following the farming trend for diversification and opens a new contemporary art gallery this weekend.
Housed in a converted barn on the A465 Hereford-Abergavenny road at Wormbridge, the gallery will show a monthly changing selection of fine art.
It houses a caf run by Herefordshire company, Food from here, which has been managing the tearooms at Abbeydore Gardens.
Its ethos is to serve imaginative food made from fresh, locally-produced ingredients.
"Whether you come and buy a painting or sculpture here, or linger over coffee and a newspaper in the courtyard, you will really appreciate the atmosphere, the surroundings and the attention to detail which we are all committed to," said curator Kate Bull.
The gallery opens on Saturday with its inaugural exhibition showing new work by Helen Cass, Edmund Sayer and Bryony Burn.
