THE subject of terrorism has been tackled by theatre company Out of Joint with their new play Talking to Terrorists, based on real-life interviews, at Malvern's Festival Theatre from next Wednesday.
Writer Robin Soans, Out of Joint and the Royal Court theatre interviewed people from around the world who have in some way been involved or affected by terrorism.
These conversations included people such as Mo Molam, Norman Tebbit and Terry Waite, who all spoke openly about their experiences.
A spokesman said: "From the research, they have built a fascinating drama that examines what drives ordinary people to do such extraordinary, violent things, a play that asks how anyone could blow up a pub full of people, strap explosives to their bodies or hold terrified children hostage."
Eight actors will play more than 20 characters in the play.
"From politicians to peacekeepers, from bombers to their victims, warriors to psychiatrists, this production takes you from Ireland, Israel, Uganda, Turkey and Iraq, and right to the heart of the British establishment,'' said the spokesman .
Talking to Terrorists runs from May 4-7, evenings at 8pm and Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.
Tickets, priced £12-18 (£6 students) from the box office on 01684 892277.
