ART SOCIETY: One of the special events of the year for the Stratford Art Society takes place on Friday, May 13.
This is the annual founders' memorial lecture, when Phyllis Rapp will give an illustrated talk entitled Art From The Middle Of The 20th Century.
Phyllis Rapp was born in South Africa and became a teacher. In 1985 she came to London and studied art at the ICA.
In 1989 Phyllis Rapp trained for, and works as, a tour guide at the Tate Modern and Tate Britain.
This lecture will be at 7.30pm on Friday, May 13 at the Shakespeare Centre, Henley Street, Stratford. Tickets are £3 from Art Society members or on the night at the door. Tickets also available from the Civic Hall Box Office, Rother Street, Stratford.
