FORTIES favourites are coming out in force in Pershore next weekend.
Forces Sweethearts is a show combining the best of the greats like Gracie Fields, Anne Shelton, Judy Garland and Vera Lynn.
The Number 8 arts centre is staging the show on Saturday, May 7, to coincide with the 60th anniversary of VE-Day.
Spokeswoman Charlotte Saunders said the music was set to rekindle wartime memories as well as entertain those not old enough to remember.
"Let's take a walk down memory lane in the company of these great female vocalists, whose songs inspired the nation and raised spirits in the dark days of the wartime forties," she said.
"We'll be joined by some friends from across the water - American pin-ups like Deanna Durbin and the Andrews Sisters - plus the inimitable tones of Marlene Dietrich!
"And in the spirit of the wartime 40s, we'd love to hear you all singing along!"
Tickets, £10 (£8 concessions) are available from the Number 8 box office on 01386 555488 or on the door.
