SEVENTY-two acres of Wyastone Leys estate will open to the public on May 1 as part of Monmouth's open garden scheme.
It is only the second time in 20 years that the overgrown woodland garden has been open, and in addition to being exceptionally beautiful, there will be information on display from Gwent Woodlife Trust, the Woodland Trust, as well hedgehog, owl and bat preservation organisations.
The estate, home to the Wyastone concert hall, will open from 11am-4pm - refreshments available.
The garden is very wild with features from a bygone era dotted along paths that criss-cross the hillside behind the concert venue.
