STORYTELLING and music will be woven together in Worcester next weekend as musician Ralph McTell gives an accomplished performance in the city.

Ralph is a modern troubadour and raconteur who will be inviting audiences into his world to deliver a captivating and poignant narrative at Huntingdon Hall on Thursday, May 5.

The talented performer is also a prolific songwriter and virtuoso guitar player who explores apparently simple elements of life in his work such as memories of a fatherless upbringing.

The singer made his debut in 1968 with the album Eight Frames a Second and went on to pick up an Ivor Novello Award in 1974 with his subsequent release Streets of London.

In 1993 Nanci Griffith recorded one of Ralph's tunes-- From Clare to Here - on her Grammy Award-winning album and he was presented with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement at the BBC Radio Two Folk Awards.
