AN original Dire Straits family member and a 'self-taught world music phenomenon' are providing a couple of interesting evenings in Worcester next week.
Next Wednesday, David Knopfler, brother of Mark and co-founder of Dire Straits, comes to Huntingdon Hall and brings with him a wealth of multi-instrumental and music business experience.
The following night, May 19, Rory McLeod promises Huntingdon Hall audiences 'a magical musical journey around the world'.
A former circus clown and fire-eater, he is described as 'a one-man soul band, poet, storyteller and modern travelling troubadour'.
He performs melodies and rhythms from all over the world with his solo orchestra of tap shoes, acappella, harmonica, guitar, trombone, spoons, finger cymbals, bandorea, djembe and other percussion instruments.
