AN artist who specialises in painting animals will have her work displayed at Droitwich Library.
Gill Leighton, also from Droitwich, will show her paintings in the Artist of the Month exhibition for May at the Victoria Square building.
She has been painting for ten years and paints landscapes, seascapes and portraits. Gill often explores the countryside to depict it for others to enjoy.
However, following demand, she has now started to focus on animal portraits and drawings of pets.
Gill also believes it is important that art is affordable and available to all.
She said: "With villages and towns being swamped under vast housing developments, it is vital that the people living in places like Droitwich and the surrounding area celebrate and protect the beauty that is so precious and unique to them."
