Top Scottish Latin/Celtic band Salsa Celtica is to play two gigs locally this weekend.
With its high-energy take on world music, fusing fiery, exuberant South American rhythms with the whirl of Scottish folk, this unique band headlined Presteigne's Sheep Music festival three years ago.
The band's remarkable success story began in 1995 in the bars and clubs of Edinburgh and Glasgow, where it was an immediate hit.
Their 19-date 2004 tour included a headline performance at London's South Bank and this weekend the band plays Brecon's canal-side Theatr Brycheiniog tomorrow (Friday) and the British Legion in Presteigne on Saturday night.
Tickets for Brecon are available from the box office on 01874 611622; tickets for Presteigne are available from the tourist information centre on 01544 260650.
