THREE of the biggest bands in rock history are performing in the area over the next week - nearly.

Queen, the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd, in the form of top tribute bands, are offering audiences the chance to enjoy live renditions of their favourite music on their doorstep.

At the Roses Theatre tomorrow night, Magic - A Kind of Queen brings The Celebration Tour to town.

Described as 'the finest reproduction of Queen around today', the band members don't dress up 'but allow their superb musicianship and outstanding harmonies to recreate the sound and atmosphere of a live Queen concert'.

Dark Side In Concert comes to Worcester's Swan Theatre this Saturday offering the Pink Floyd concert experience, along with spectacular lighting and effects and a relaunched band for 2005.

The show starts at 8pm and promoters promise: "With three new members and some new material, this will be a fantastic evening for rock fans."

Then, also at The Swan, the big event on Wednesday, May 25 is the Counterfeit Stones.

The Bourbon Jungle Tour comes to the Swan Theatre, promising 'a unique rock 'n' roll experience'.

The show takes the form of a mockumentary, charting the Stones' growth from 'a basement blues band to international outlaws'.

Then, on June 4, it's back to another Queen show, Ga-Ga - A Tribute to Queen, on at The Theatre in Chipping Norton on June 4.
