WORCESTER'S Huntingdon Hall will be graced by the presence of award-winning musician Kathryn Tickell when she stages a gig with her band at the venue this month.
The artist - whose roots are in Northumberland - released her first album at the age of 16 and turned professional two years later.
In 1990 she formed the Kathryn Tickell Band, which went from strength to strength and she has since had a hugely-successful, diverse career both with the group and as a soloist.
She has appeared on a whole host of shows including Live With Jools Holland and as an artist and presenter on Radio Two, also winning an award for Best Instrumentalist at the station's recent folk awards.
The current band line-up includes Kathryn on pipes and fiddle, Julian Sutton on melodeon, Joss Clapp on guitars and bass guitar and Peter Tickell on fiddle and guitar.
Fans can catch the band at the venue on Thursday, June 16. Tickets are £14, concessions £13.
