EXCITEMENT is building for the forthcoming Droitwich Spa Music Festival now that the programme for events has been finalised.
The festival will be held throughout the area between Sunday July 3 and Friday July 15 and is set to be even bigger than last year's first event.
Organisers 'For Droitwich Spa', formally DARTS (Droitwich Association for Retailing, Tourism and Services) claim the event will offer 'something for everyone' with many top attractions on show free of charge at the Lido Park, on Worcester Road, and pubs around the town.
Highlights include the Pop Icons singing competition held at Droitwich Spa High School and bands on show at Salters Shopping Centre.
Also performing at the event is seven-piece band Somethin' ELSE that will perform Rock the Castle on Sunday July 3 from 8pm.
Performances from the Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra, the Worcester Male Voice Choir and Bromsgrove band Trigger can also be enjoyed.
Tickets for the festival are available from the Norbury Theatre, on Friar Street, on 01905 795619 in the daytime or 01905 770154 in the evening.
They are also available from Huntingdon Arts Box Office in Worcester on 01905 611427.
Programmes for the event will be available at schools, Droitwich Library and The Advertiser office, in Droitwich High Street.
