THERE will be another side to Dirty Den on show in a thriller coming to Malvern next week - or will there?.

Leslie Grantham is starring in Beyond Reasonable Doubt, a Jeffrey Archer courtroom thriller.

Grantham plays Sir David Metcalfe, QC and chairman of the Bar Council, who is conducting the most important defence of his career - his own.

Act one is set in the Old Bailey. It sees Metcalfe, accused of murdering his terminally ill wife, come up against his old rival Anthony Blair Booth QC.

Act two is set in the Metcalfes' London apartment, taking audiences back in time to see what happened that fateful night - complete with 'a tragic and surprising twist'.

Beyond Reasonable Doubt is Archer's first play which ran in the West End for 600 performances.

Leslie Grantham is co-starring with the well-known stage and screen star Simon Ward, currently on television in the BBC's Judge John Deed crime drama.

They are joined by Alexandra Bastedo who was in the long-running TV series The Champions.
