THREE IN ONE: More than 80 class three pupils from the church schools in Salford Priors, Dunnington and Temple Grafton recently spent the day at St. Matthew's, Salford Priors for an RE day called Three in One. Aspects of the curriculum were covered in workshops both inside and outside the church. There was art work in the form of banner making, music workshops and crafts. Themes of Remembering and Making Choices were covered. Special tee-shirts, printed with the parishes' Five Alive dove logo were given to each child for the day.
The day ended with an act of worship which included activities drawing on the day's experiences. Grapes were shared as Lizzie McWhirter, the Coventry Diocesan Officer for religious education, invited everyone to taste and see that God is good.
The Rev Steve Tash, vicar of the Five Alive group of churches, said: "The day was so good, filled with laughter, learning and love. It was great having pupils from all of our church schools together for such a creative and positive experience. I hope we can repeat it."
