TWO musical evenings to provide some summer delight are being organised at a historic house near Broadway.

Stanton Guildhouse is a registered charity set up to provide a peaceful centre for the teaching of arts and crafts and for personal development and relaxation.

It is set in a listed manor house just above Stanton, which lies between Toddington and Broadway and runs more than 20 part-time classes and summer schools.

The two musical evenings, West End Comes to Broadway, are being staged on July 22 and 23 when guests can enjoy some of their favourite music inside the house with a champagne buffet or outside in the grounds with their own picnics where the music will be relayed.

There will be songs from the shows on Friday and opera favourites on Saturday, performed live by Opera 2 Order, a company founded in 1996 by Judith Russell, a professional opera singer in the West End. Members have performed in Covent Garden, The English National Opera and at top opera houses abroad.

Tickets are £50-£60 to sit inside and £15-£20 for an outdoor spot and there is a discount for parties of three or more. Call 01386 584357 for more details or visit www.stantonguildhouse.org.uk.
