Worcestershire County Council's recycling roadshow rolled into Evesham to support the big recycle week which started on Monday.
The Operation Target 75 recycling exhibition vehicle, kitted out with displays and interactive activities for people of all ages, was at the Morrisons supermarket to highlight why residents need to recycle.
Displays showed which rubbish could be recycled and what could be made from recycled matter. The vehicle also aimed to increase awareness of opportunities to reduce and reuse, two examples were home composting and real nappies.
Target 75 is part of the Mission Impossible Campaign which aims to minimise waste going to landfill and increase participation in kerbside recycling schemes to more than 75 per cent by March 2006.
Tania Field, Target 75 project development officer, said: "Recycling in Worcestershire is on the way up. This new vehicle is excellent in educating people of all ages about recycling and its benefits."
Mission Impossible Target 75 is run by Worcestershire County Council in partnership with Herefordshire County Council, the six district councils and Welcome to Our Future. The BIG recycle week is part of the RecycleNow campaign run by Waste & Resources Action Programme and the campaign encourages people to recycle.
