MOBILE phone use while driving is even more prevalent now than it was before new laws were introduced two years ago, it has been revealed.
Around 2.8 per cent of motorists in London currently use their phones while driving, compared to 2.6 per cent back in 2006, the Transport Research Laboratory has said.
This is despite the risk of a £60 fine and three penalty points.
Road safety experts say that the chances of being involved in an accident while using a mobile at the wheel are dramatically increased, and the chances of that accident being fatal are significant.
But how common is this problem in Worcestershire?
Have you used your hand-held mobile to make/receive a call or send/read texts in the past year?
