HISTORY fans are being given the opportunity to have their local knowledge tested as part of a county-wide festive quiz.
Question sheets for the county council record office’s annual quiz are now available and feature 12 images gathered from among the 80,000 in the record office collection.
People wishing to take part can take the sheets home and rack their brains over the holidays to answer the questions by the deadline on Thursday, January 7.
Paul Hudson, head of the history centre, said: “Our annual Christmas quiz is very popular. Last year’s quiz was based on images in our collection and went down very well so we have repeated the format this year.”
The winner will receive a £15 book token, with the three runners up getting a £5 token each.
Quiz sheets are available from the record office, at County Hall, Spetchley Road, and in museums and libraries across the county. They can also be downloaded from worcestershire.gov.uk/recordoffice
