WORCESTER Warrior players were on hand to open a school’s new fitness suite.
Jonny Arr, Chris Latham and Rico Gear, accompanied by Warriors strength and conditioning coach Keir Hansen, cut the ribbon of RGS Worcester’s Butler Fitness Suite in front of an audience of pupils and staff.
The school has spent £6.3 million redeveloping its site in The Tything, Worcester, since merging with its neighbour The Alice Ottley School.
After the visit, former pupil of RGS Worcester Jonny Arr, said: “The new fitness suite is fantastic. I wish that this facility had been in place when I was here.
“The school has changed a lot in a very short space of time. RGS gave me so much during my time here, not just benefiting my rugby, but also my education.
“ I know these new additions will be a great help to future pupils and who knows, with a suite like this, future Warriors star players as well.”
Tim Curtis, RGS Worcester’s director of sport, said: “We are all extremely proud of the fitness suite and how it is used throughout the school. To have a facility like this is a real privilege.”
