A warming candelit concert will be held in a Worcester church this week.

St John’s Church in St John’s will host Carols by Candlelight between 6pm and 8pm on Friday. There will be community carol singing, Christmas music, mince pies and a chance to relax by candlelight away from the hustle and bustle of the festive season.

“This is a very informal drop-in and drop-out occasion and everyone is very welcome to pop in even if it is only to get warm,” said church warden Ron Cantrill, pictured.

There will also be a chance for younger visitors to meet Father Christmas.
