NUMBER'S UP: Police want us to remember the right one to dial.
POLICE are hoping a new advertising campaign will help stop the thousands of non-emergency calls a month going through to the old number.
The new number – 0300 333 3000 – will be advertised on 40 public buses across Worcestershire and Herefordshire.The police hope the number will be easier for the public to remember.
Superintendent Gary Higgins, of West Mercia Police, said all calls except emergency ones should be made to the new number. Right: Assistant Chief Constable Simon Edens and force contact manager Jolanta Czeren-Shorland get the message across.
