PUPILS at Pershore High School have been busily preparing early Christmas presents for impoverished children on the other side of the world.
More than 100 gift-filled and brightly wrapped shoe boxes have been put together by pupils of all ages for this year’s Operation Christmas Child appeal.
The boxes are collected by volunteers for aid charity Samaritan’s Purse who distribute them to orphaned and poverty-stricken children in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Emma Bliss, assistant head of sixth form, said: “The effort put in by all the students has just been fantastic.
Just the generosity they have shown and team work with groups of friends who have got together to make up boxes is brilliant.”
