EVESHAM band The Irony are back by popular demand and getting ready to perform alongside Alistair McGowan.
The group, who have had their heads down over the past few months working on new material, are ready to release their second album to the masses. They are also set to support Evesham-born comedian and impressionist McGowan when he visits the Regal cinema on Friday, December 12.
“2009 has been a great year for us after the release of our debut album at the start of the year,” said The Irony lead singer David Hughes.
“We are now following it up with a limited edition album, which we would like to dedicate to our fans for their loyal support over the past six years.
“The album contains 18 tracks from the past present and future, none of which appear on our debut album so it will be something new for everyone”.
Tonight (dec 4) the band will play live at the Amber Café, High Street, Evesham, before heading to the Firefly in Lowesmoor, Worcester, tomorrow night to support Malvern musician Sam Isaac.
Since forming in 2007 the alternative four-piece have been gigging up and down the country, playing in Camden and Hammersmith in London as well as the prestigious Cavern Club in Liverpool.
The new album, Good Times, Girls and Goodbyes, is available from today at all live shows and in Rapture records in Evesham’s Riverside Shopping Centre.
