FIREFIGHTERS rescued a person from a burning house in Hereford this morning.
Fire crews were called to the two-storey building in Lloyd Street, Hereford, at 1am. The person inside, who had become trapped after a blaze broke out on the ground floor, had to be rescued by firefighters using a ladder. They were then taken to hospital suffering with smoke inhalation.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service remained at the scene until 3.30am.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has begun.
