POLICE are warning of the dangers of black ice after yesterday’s sudden drop in temperature.
The black ice caused a number of slid off the roads into hedges and ditches on Tuesday around Worcestershire.
Police want to remind motorists to be extra vigilant if their car’s temperature guage is near zero degrees, or if there is ice or frost on the car. Both these things should alert drivers to the possibility of black ice on the roads.
They also want to remind motorists it is a legal requirement to make sure all windows are clear of frost, ice and snow - just clearing a small hole in the windscreen is not good enough.
