A SERVICE that provides home care for elderly people has been launched in Worc estershire.
Eclipse Home Care, which is based in Hallow Park, Hallow, near Worcester, provides in-home care services including personal care, companionship care and live-in care covering duties such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and post hospital discharge care.
Eclipse Home Care has been granted full membership of the UK Home Care Association (UKHCA) and the new private service has also received approval from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) – the national watchdog for health and social care.
To honour the launch Rob Gready, managing director of Eclipse Home Care, was presented with a certificate of membership of the UK Home Care Association from Lucianne Sawyer, president of the UK Home Care Association. Mr Gready said: “I am delighted that after months of hard work and planning we have been approved by the Care Quality Commission and have gained membership of the UKHCA.
“We are now able to provide care to the elderly, infirm and those with a disability in the comfort of their own homes. We will provide a modern service but with good old-fashioned values where our clients come first and we do all we can to meet their expectations and improve the quality of their lives.
“I care passionately about the services we provide having had first-hand experience of the challenges that faced my own grandparents.
“As a result, I aim for Eclipse Home Care to provide care to our clients as we would all want and expect for ourselves.”
Eclipse Home Care was launched at a conference at Sixways Stadium, near Worcester, hosted by the joint commissioning unit of Worcestershire County Council and NHS Worcestershire.
