A RECORD amount of money has been collected at a Worcester charity’s Christmas fair.
Surprisingly, Father Christmas played second fiddle to a pampering corner at Sight Concern Worcestershire’s event.
The pampering corner offered tired guests the chance to relax with a massage or some aromatherapy. The fair raised a record-breaking total of £1,300 for the charity based in Sansome Walk. All the money raised went directly to Sight Concern rather than covering costs.
Alice Watts, fund-raising and publicity manager for Sight Concern Worcestershire, said: “It is wonderful that in these times people can still come out and support us, so thank you to all the volunteers and to the people who came. Every penny is going towards the charity.”
