A FORMER rugby player helped open a craft fair at a Worcestershire school.
Ex Worcester Warrior Nick Baxter, now proprietor of Worcester Wines, opened the third arts and crafts fair at Malvern St James.
Organisation of the fair was down to the combined efforts of the Friends of Malvern St James (Parents Association) and the Malvern Hills Arts and Crafts Guild.
More than 35 local artists and craft workers displayed their goods for sale at the popular event alongside the Malvern St James Young Enterprise groups.
The girls were thrilled when Mr Baxter, a keen entrepreneur himself, spent time talking to them about their companies and the goods they were selling.
Other charities supported by the school were also aided by proceeds from the fair, including UNICEF.
Lottie van Praag from the school painted Nick’s face as part of her fund-raising activities. The fair raised more than £500 for Acorns.
