POLICE have growing concerns for a man who has been missing for two weeks.
David Chitty was last seen at Worcester's Newtown Hospital on Tuesday, November 17 before failing to return after his daily two-hour leave period.
Staff and police are increasingly concerned because of his medical needs.
“There is a growing worry that Mr Chitty will have become confused and begin behaving oddly as he has missed his medication,” said a spokesman for the police.
While 48-year-old Mr Chitty may have tried to reach relatives in France there is no evidence of him leaving the country and he could well still be in the Worcester area.
He is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall, of heavy build with dark brown hair with a quiff and brown eyes.
Mr Chitty was last seen wearing a blue shirt and brown cardigan and trousers.
Anyone who believes that they can help in the search for Mr Chitty is urged to call police on 0300 333 3000, quoting 572S/171109.
Information can also be given – anonymously and free-of-charge – to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
