A WORCESTERSHIRE woman who cut her working hours to improve the work-life balance and supports staff with flexible arrangements has been named Britain's Best Boss.
Debbie Hinton, the county audiology services manager for the Worcestershire NHS Trust, was nominated by several of her 48-strong team for the prestigious award, run by Working Families and supported by BT.
She was revealled as the winner today.
Few of Mrs Hinton's team worked standard hours, making it easier for them to look after elderly relatives or children.
The 46-year-old said: "I reduced my own hours and can now support my son and daughter in their chosen careers, visit my parents more frequently and get to ride my horse in daylight in the winter."
The aim of Britain’s Best Boss is to recognise the unsung heroes who make a difference to the working lives of others.
