THE Supreme Court today ruled in favour of seven major banks and building societies when it came to charges for unathorised overdrafts.

Thousands of people across the UK had been waiting for the judgement before deciding whether or not to claim for money they say was taken unfairly.

They say that charges are far too high - up to £30 per day or more - and they represent an "unfair contract".

But what do you think? Surely banks are businesses and they should be able to set their own rules - the people who opened accounts agreed to the terms and conditions when they signed on the dotted line...

...or do you think otherwise?
