AN abundance of autumn produce given to a Worcester hospice is being whipped into a fund-raising feast.
The kitchen team at St Richard’s Hospice has been busy making jams, pickles and chutneys from the fruits.
They have proved such a success that they have now launched a Christmas range for sale. The special gift presentation pack of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day chutneys are priced at £9.95 and are available from St Richard’s Hospice in Wildwood Drive, near Coun-ty Hall, and at the hospice shop in Mealcheapen Street, Worcester.
Commercial manager Dan Corns said: “So many of our staff, volunteers and supporters donated produce that we wanted to put it to good use. The jams, pickles and chutneys have proved a really tasty success and we’re hoping will raise money towards our caring work.”
This year St Richard’s Hospice is celebrating its silver anniversary.
