POLICE have expressed concern about the welfare of a missing Worcester man.
David Chitty was last seen at the city’s Newtown hospital at 9.30am on Tuesday, November 17.
He did not return to the hospital after his daily two-hour leave period and staff and police are concerned because of his medical needs.
A police spokesman said: “It is believed that if he misses his medication – which was due on Friday, November 20 – he could become confused and begin behaving oddly.”
Mr Chitty, aged 48, has relatives in France and there is a possibility that he may attempt to reach them.
However, police believe he could still be in Worcester.
Mr Chitty is white, 5ft 8ins tall, of heavy build with dark brown hair with a quiff and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and brown cardigan and trousers.
Anyone who may have seen Mr Chitty should call police on 0300 333 3000, quoting 572S/171109.
Information can also be given – anonymously and free-of-charge – to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
