A WORCESTERSHIRE museum which stayed open after dark has proved an overnight success.
Worcestershire County Museum, at Hartlebury, launched its new Christmas range on Wednesday by staying open till 8pm.
The festive feel could be seen all round with a specially decorated gift shop, cafe and museum with free mince pies and mulled wine on offer.
The late closure was organised by Rachel Robinson, to raise the profile of Christmas cards, decorations and gift ideas.
Anika Burt, from the museum, said: “We noticed our shop is very popular for stocking fillers and we wanted to expand on that.”
A live brass quartet entertained customers with carols.
