PEOPLE have been asked to be wary of offers of stolen property after 54 high-value women’s coats - worth £29,000 - were stolen.
Five men were seen on CCTV breaking into Cotswold Outdoor at Webbs of Wychbold, near Bromsgrove, between 7.20pm and 8pm on Sunday, November 15.
A police spokesman said: “It is highly likely that the coats will be offered for sale during the run-in to Christmas and could crop up in a number of places.
“Anyone who is at all suspicious about what they are being offered, or the person offering it, should contact us immediately.”
Anyone who was near the Worcester Road premises between the given times and saw – or heard – anything suspicious has been asked to contact police.
They can be contacted on 0300 333 3000, quoting 205N/151109.
Information can also be given – anonymously and free-of-charge – to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The coat manufacturers names include Ama, Amplitude, Aura, Calisto, Evolution, Intervale, Kaya, Nanga, Nakiska, Partner, Paclite, Precip, Resolve, Seraph and Wakefield, in a variety of colours and sizes.
