DEDICATED: A pensioner from Worcester has vowed to continue her hard work helping the elderly.
Joan Carless, of Barbourne, has been volunteering at the WRVS – Women's Royal Voluntary Service – for the last 42 years. Mrs Carless, above front, has a medal to commemorate 40 years’ service to the charity.
“I would definitely recommend it to anyone,” said the 82-year-old, who is one of the leaders for The Evergreen Darby and Joan Club which meets every Monday at the Magdalene room, St George’s Square, Worcester.
