A WOMAN was treated for minor injuries after a shunt involving a 4x4 and a recovery truck.
The crash happened on the A442 near Hartlebury at about 1.40pm, today.
Emergency services were called out to a stretch of the road three miles from Droitwich to find a recovery truck with damage to its front end, and a Mitsubishi Shogun 4x4 with damage to its rear.
A woman passenger described as “medically trapped” had to be assisted by firefighters and paramedics, who made her comfortable and later were able to free her.
She was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further treatment and assessment.
A police spokesman said: “Her injuries were not thought to be serious.”
The road was closed in both directions for about an hour before the scene was cleared.
