THE daytime television show Flog It! will be filming in Worcestershire this weekend.
Antiques expert and show presenter Paul Martin will be at the Malvern Theatres, Grange Road, Malvern, on Sunday to host a Flog It! valuation day.
Members of the public are being invited to bring along antiques and collectables that they might be interested in selling.
The items will be valued by experts and selected finds will be auctioned at Philip Serrell Auctioneers in January.
Now in its eighth series, Flog It! is watched by an average of two million viewers every weekday.
Previous programmes have seen a small cream jug sold at auction for £1,300 and a ceramic bowl, bought for £4 at a car boot sale, going for an impressive £1,500.
Presenter Mr Martin is a former antique shop owner and specialist in English and Welsh oak furniture.
He was discovered when he was interviewed about his passion for oak furniture and his natural charisma in front of the camera led to him being offered the job as presenter on the BBC antiques show. He now travels the length and breadth of Britain hosting Flog It! valuation days.
He said: “Meeting people in the antiques trade or people who make their living by skills learnt over tens of years is always a treat. I have learnt so much.”
The antiques valuation day at the Malvern Theatres will take place between 9.30am and 4pm. For more information, call the theatre on 01684 892277 or visit malvern-theatres. co.uk.
