NEW for Christmas 2009 at Twycross Zoo, is the fabulous Fantasy Ice Cave. Come along and enjoy yourself on the entertaining snowball shy. Prize for everyone who knocks down the snowmen.
Children’s Dreams of Christmas begin as they walk through the ice cave and follow the avenue of seasonal snow covered trees to meet Santa. Santa will be sitting on his ice throne waiting to hear what all the girls and boys want for Christmas.
All children who visit Santa will receive a present (a small charge will apply). Santa has a video link to his elves to check how well children have been behaving. Keep a look out for the elf busily working in Santa’s workshop. Have a go on the tombola, lucky dip or be enticed by the heavenly scent of delicious mince pies.
Santa will bring his land train with him so you can ride the Christmas Express which travels right through the heart of the Zoo. Before you travel home call in to Pets at Twycross to see Santa’s reindeer and see the nativity scene in the stable.
Ashby de la Zouch Division Girl Guiding will be on site singing Christmas carols for our visitors, please see website for dates and times www.twycrosszoo.org.
Did you know you can feed the Bat-eared Foxes, Otters, Meerkats and Giraffes? Why not book an encounter for a Christmas present. Santa will be coming to the zoo every weekend from Saturday 21st November until Christmas Eve. See our website for more details.
