A NEW partnership between a cricket club and a charity campaign could boost a new £2.5 million breast unit.
Worcestershire County Cricket Club has teamed up with the 2nd Skin Lingerie Bra Chain Gang to host an event to raise funds for the Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign, which has been adopted by your Worcester News.
The Christmas shopping fund-raiser will take place on Tuesday, November 24, at the club, offering a range of gift ideas for the festive season.
The Bra Chain Gang would like everyone attending to bring an old bra with them.
They will all be counted during the event, along with hundreds of other bras collected over the last couple of months.
They will be recycled for cash to help raise funds to convert an existing building into a new dedicated breast unit. About one in three women will see a breast specialist at some point in their life and about one in nine will develop breast cancer.
This event, being held in the Graeme Hick Pavilion at New Road, runs from 6pm to 9pm.
