A MAJOR advertising campaign is currently running in an attempt to persuade more people to become organ donors.

About 90 per cent of people in the UK say they would be happy to donate their organs after their death, but only 27 per cent have actually registered.

And while 10,000 people are currently in need of a transplant, three of those will die every day because organs aren't available.

Are you one of those who say they will but haven't signed up? Have you already registered or carry 'the card'? Are you opposed to the whole idea?

On a side note, would compulsory donation unless an 'opt out' has been signed get your backing?
