MAUREEN Matthews welcomed members to our annual meeting and harvest auction. We have been invited to Callow End for their December meeting and have sent out invitations to several WIs to join us for our Christmas party.
The competition was a limerick.
Barbara Rowberry read them out, members voted and Barbara’s won. The financial statement was then approved.
Christine gave an account of our activities and trips during a successful year. Maureen thanked everyone for making our WI a very happy one and for supporting any fund raising we do. The committee were all willing to stand for another year, and Maureen was re-elected as president.
At the next meeting, on Wednesday in St Mark’s Church Hall, Wendy Hill will be speaking about Elgar.
