A MAN has appeared in court accused of harassing his former partner at work and at home.

Eric Court, aged 42, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.

He stands accused of assaulting a woman on Sunday, April 12, and of harassing by putting in fear of violence his former partner between Wednesday, April 15, and Friday, May 22.

Details of the alleged harassment given in court include Court turning up at the woman’s place of work and being verbally abusive.

On one occasion in April the Crown Prosecution Service allege Court, of Cedar Avenue, Brickfields, Worcester, drove his car at her and another day turned up to work to tell her manager his former partner was a whore.

On Wednesday, May 13 it is alleged Court sent a hand-written letter to the woman and then later went to her address and drove off in her car.

Court was granted bail on condition he have no contact with witnesses and not go to Dunelm Mill, in Blackpole, Worcester.

He was ordered to return to the city’s magistrates court for committal to be tried at Worcester Crown Court on Monday, January 11.
