A TRAIL of blood led police straight to the man who had thrown a brick through their window.
West Mercia Police officers who were investigating criminal damage at Warndon’s police post followed the trail from the scene of the crime all the way to Daniel Paintin’s front door.
The 20-year-old, who lives just yards away from the police outpost in Cranham Drive, pleaded guilty.
“During interview he made a full and frank admission,” said Leslie Ashton, prosecuting, at Worcester Magistrates Court.
“He said he did it because he’s being targeted by the police.”
Judith Kenney, defending, said Paintin acknowledged there had been problems in the area with youths and felt he had been unrealistically targeted because he lived next door.
“He was frustrated,” she said. District judge Bruce Morgan ordered Paintin to pay £100 compensation plus £85 costs. He must also obey a curfew.
