A CHRISTMAS Lantern Walk is being held in Worcestershire for those wanting to remember a loved one over the festive season.
The 45-minute walk is being organised by Worcester-based Noah’s Ark Trust which specialises in providing bereavement support for children, young adults and their families, and is open to all individuals and groups of families and friends.
Liz Collins, community fundraiser for the charity, “The walk is a wonderful opportunity for people to pull together at what is, perhaps, one of the most difficult times of the year. Everyone is welcome and it can really help to know that you are not alone in your situation. The lanterns and pretty woodland setting create a lovely atmosphere for everyone to remember together.”
The event will take place on Saturday, December 12 on Saturday, December 12 at the Wyre Forest Visitors’ Centre in Callow Hill, near Bewdley.
The forest walk will pass a viewpoint overlooking the county where a few moments can be taken for remembrance and reflection. After the walk, and to recognise that Christmas is a time for fun and celebration, there will be carols, hot drinks and mince pies.
